1) Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer:
Established in 1992 at the Indian Institute of Technology, it is an
interface with the industry to foster, promote and sustain
commercialisation of Science & Technology in the Institute for
mutual benefits. FITT is the Foundation's national consultant for the
project. FIIT is collaborating with the Foundation to promote
innovation through technology intervention, knowledge dissemination,
capacity building and training programmes.
(2) Central Institute of Tool Design, Hyderabad:
A pioneering institute in the field of tool engineering in India, CITD
was established with the assistance of UNDP and ILO. It conducts
several regular and part-time training programs in the field of Tool
Design and Manufacture, Low Cost Automation, Mechatronics and Computer
Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacture. Foundation has teamed up
with CITD to provide low cost automation solutions for the agricultural
implements cluster at Karnal.
(3) Mechanical Engineering Research & Development Organization:
A sister concern of the Central Mechanical Engineering Research
Institute (CMERI), its focus is on the development needs of small and
medium enterprises. It was conceptualized to cater to the day to day
needs of the thousands of industrial units spread across the country.
As part of its well equipped laboratories, it also has circular
knitting machines and is collaborating with us to provide training
expertise to the Ludhiana textile manufacturing cluster and new product
development assistance in the agricultural equipments cluster at
Karnal.
(4) Central Tool Room, Ludhiana:
CTR was established to meet the demand for high quality Tooling,
Skilled Technicians and upgraded Technology support for Engineering
Industries in general and Small-Scale Units in particular in the states
of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J & K and.Chandigarh. CTR is
providing training and technology support to the textile machinery
cluster at Ludhiana.
(5) Pharmaceutical Education and Research Development, Ahmedabad: It
is a renowned institute engaged in research in pharmaceutical science
providing the industry and the academia the opportunity and resources
to undertake the latest in research and development. PERD is providing
training and technical support to the project.
(6) Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, Lucknow: is
a multi disciplinary R & D institute dedicated to the cause of
medicinal and aromatic plant research, cultivation and business and has
several Resource Centres and Resource points in different agro climatic
zones of India. CIMAP is also providing technical support and training
assistance for the perfumery sector at Kannauj.
(7) Fragrance and Flavor Development Centre, Kannauj:
FFDC is engaged in serving and promoting the Indian MSME and its
associated farmers and growers in production, processing and value
addition of essential oils and flavours and fragrances. It serves as an
interface between essential oil, fragrance & flavour industry and
the R & D institutions both in the field of Agro-technology and
chemical technology.
(8) Taiwan External Trade Development Council, Taiwan:
It is a non-profit trade promotion organization assisting Taiwan
businesses and manufacturers in becoming internationally competitive
through a range of services including trade promotion exhibitions,
conventions, information services, training & education etc. The
foundation is collaborating with TAITRA to provide an exposure visit to
a benchmark cluster for the Ludhiana textile manufacturing cluster to
enhance their
(9) SriRam Institute for Industrial Research, Delhi:
It is an independent, self sustaining, not-for-profit multidisciplinary
contract research institute conducting research and development in the
areas of special significance to industry, government agencies and
other organizations. It is involved in developing innovative
technologies as well as its licensing. It is providing technical
expertise in the Medical Devices cluster at Ahmadabad. |
